She has learned to deal with her mother's psychological problems and capricious moments. She does everything to protect her and avoid being separated from her, whether she comes home late at night wearing a white wedding dress or packs up the whole house for an alleged move. Along with her concerned father (Mathieu Amalric), a talking owl becomes Mathilde's friend and advisor. In this personal film, which has great affection for its characters and was dedicated to Lvovsky's mother, humor, tenderness, bright colors and fairy-tale elements have as much place as tragic moments, pain and loss.
